چکیده

Bee pollen is the result of agglutination grains collected from flowers and mixed with nectar salivary secretions by honey bees. a natural product exposed to environmental conditions also provides unique microhabitat for yeasts bacterial communities. We analyzed 30 fresh bee samples obtained main producing areas Argentina identify aerobic-spore-forming bacteria. 73 isolates belonging 16 different species through isolation on selective differential media, morphological biochemical tests, PCR RFLP analysis genes encoding 16S rRNA. Our data revealed that Bacillus cereus sensu stricto was most predominant (50%), followed megaterium (40%) subtilis (40%), respectively. In minor proportion, Paenibacillus polymyxa (20%), larvae (17%), pumilus (13%), licheniformis amyloliquefaciens (10%), Lysinibacillus sphaericus (7%), coagulans Rummelliibacillus stabekisii thuringiensis clausii (3%), alvei simplex amylolyticus (3%) were found. results showed Argentinean could transmit diseases due presence viable spores P. toxicogenic B. s.s. strains.

Polysaccharides synthesized by aerobic mesophilic spore-forming bacteria.

In the classification proposed by Smith, Gordon & Clark (1946) the genus Bacillus has been divided into three groups depending principally on morphological differences in the size and shape of the spores and the shape of the sporangia. Their classification and nomenclature has been used throughout this paper. The bacilli of group I are known to synthesize fructosans from sucrose; those obtained...

Genome Sequences of Three Spore-Forming Bacteria Isolated from the Feces of Organically Raised Chickens

Antibiotic feed supplements have been implicated in the rise of multidrug-resistant bacteria. An alternative to antibiotics is probiotics. Here, we report the genome sequences of two Bacillus and one Solibacillus species, all spore-forming, Gram-positive bacteria, isolated from the feces organically raised chicken feces, with potential to serve as probiotics.

Phenotypic and Genotypic Characterization of Some Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated from Bee Pollen: A Preliminary Study

In the present work, five hundred and sixty-seven isolates of lactic acid bacteria were recovered from raw bee pollen grains. All isolates were screened for their antagonistic activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria. Neutralized supernatants of 54 lactic acid bacteria (LAB) cultures from 216 active isolates inhibited the growth of indicator bacteria. They were ...

Characterisation of Aeromonas spp. isolated from frozen fish intended for human consumption in Mexico.

A total of 82 strains of presumptive Aeromonas spp. were identified biochemically and genetically (16S rDNA-RFLP). The strains were isolated from 250 samples of frozen fish (Tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus niloticus) purchased in local markets in Mexico City. In the present study, we detected the presence of several genes encoding for putative virulence factors and phenotypic activities that may...
